Why: To raise money for Dachshund Rescue of North America's doggy medical fund.

There is no cost to attend Bavarian Dachshund Fest or enter your dogs in the contests. We do encourage you to buy picnic t-shirts, raffle tickets, make donations, and check out DRNA's booth full of goodies for dachshunds and their owners - jewelry, t-shirts, tote bags, and all kinds of fun dachshund merchandise! 100% of profits go to DRNA's doggy medical fund!

Dachshund Rescue of North America volunteers will be having a wiener roast to feed hungry attendees and raise money for the doggy medical fund. Bring your dachshunds, honorary dachshunds, and your appetites!

This is a great opportunity to teach your children not to approach strange dogs without asking their owners if they are friendly. Please do not reach, or allow your children to reach into enclosures full of strange dogs, and do not let your dogs stick their noses inside. There will be many rescue dogs attending the picnic and some may have been abused and be afraid of strangers, kids, and other dogs. Dogs must be kept on a leash, carried, or in exercise pens. Please clean-up after your dogs. Let's make this a safe and fun event for everyone.

The selling of dogs is not allowed at Bavarian Dachshund Fest! Anyone caught doing so will be asked to leave. All proceeds from this event go to DRNA's doggy medical fund.
